Committed Now

  It is official now, having signed on to a publishing company today. That is the impetus needed to return to serious writing on the new fictional novel. Having completed the prior two books leaves me without no excuses but to produce. Having spent the day putting words to the page, I am feeling the flow to the stream of thoughts smoothing out. I write stream of conscious, having always written in this manner, so I was fairly amazed at having produced ten pages on the first sit down, as I'm creating scenes and characters on the fly. This book I won't have to design and create a book cover, thankfully, as I haven't a clue as to where to begin with this particular book. I say with with conviction, having designed all fourteen of my other books. Somehow I just sort of found the design unfolding as I played around with the framework. The Write's Progress

     With the last two books now finished and in publication, I have turned my attention to the novel opening that has sat on my desktop for... some years now. The tomato sauce stain on one's white shirt right in the middle, second button height. An ugly reminder of the a pretty good meal now a memory otherwise fading into oblivion. It isn't that I have lost interest in the work. It's more of the fact of not having a firm footing on just how I was to go about making it come to life. /That sort of writer's dilemma.      A family member's question if I had ever heard of Terry Pratchett, changed that. No, I had not heard of that gentleman. Gadzooks! How can that be!? If i had known that answer I would have to ability of divine revelation. Turns out, Terry Pratchett books have become a divine revelation for my writing. Being a writer of satire, he has become my master. Master Pratchett, as Erma Bombeck and Dave Barry once held that slot, forty years ago....
